Garage Repair
& Wood Refinishing. What's Underneath Is Worth Finding.
Most garages are slightly disappointing. They don't have to be. And most old wood is more beautiful than it looks — it just needs someone to bring it back.
The most underused space in your home. And the most underrated surface.
Garage Repair
Garage repair doesn't have to mean a full conversion. Sometimes it's proper lighting so you can actually see what you're doing, a few circuits for power tools and a refrigerator, and wall-mounted storage that gets everything off the floor.
Sometimes it's epoxy flooring, custom built-ins, and a workshop corner that finally makes the hobby you've been putting off actually possible. And sometimes it really is a conversion — a home gym, a home office, a guest suite.
We do all three. Figure out what you actually want the space to do, plan the work in the right order, and execute it well.
Sanding & Refinishing Old Wood
Hardwood floors that have been under carpet for twenty years. A staircase banister painted so many times you can barely see the profile anymore. The wood itself is usually in better shape than it looks — it just needs someone to bring it back.
The process matters enormously. Sanding too aggressively removes more wood than necessary. Not sanding enough means the old surface bleeds through. The finish coats need to go on in the right conditions, at the right thickness, with the right dry time between coats. Wood properly refinished can last another twenty years without needing to be touched again.
The payoff for doing wood refinishing right is a surface that's not just beautiful but durable. You do the hunting. We do the building. Found great materials at a surplus store? Bring them. Good installation doesn't care where the materials came from.
